*The IFBB Professional League reserves the right to modify its Code of Conduct at any time. Modifications become effective immediately upon posting to IFBBPRO.com, and members are responsible for regularly reviewing the Code. Continued membership or participation in IFBB Professional League events after modifications are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Code.

GENERAL

IFBB Professional League athletes and judges must maintain the highest standards of conduct and must not engage in any behavior that compromises or brings disrepute to the reputation or integrity of the IFBB Professional League or the sport it governs. Membership, whether active or inactive, is conditional upon agreement to comply with this Code. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action.

 

ATHLETES

Part 1: Prohibited Activities

As an IFBB PRO athlete-member, you must not:

  • Compete in, judge at, or promote or organize a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event.
  • Appear onstage (except to guest pose) at a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event.
  • Use, or allow others to use, your name or likeness to promote, advertise, or otherwise endorse a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event on a website or social media platform.
  • Use, or allow others to use, registered trademarks “IFBB PRO”, “IFBB PRO LEAGUE”, “IFBB PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE”, or the IFBB Professional League logo in any publicity for a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event.
  • Hold active membership in a same-sport organization that is not recognized by the IFBB Professional League.

Part 2: Permitted Activities

At a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event, you may:

  • Guest pose
  • Give a seminar
  • Appear at a display booth or meet and greet
  • Act as a brand ambassador
  • Coach a competitor
  • Attend as a spectator

However, while engaged in these permitted activities, you must not:

  • Use, or allow others to use, your name or likeness to promote, advertise, or otherwise endorse a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event on a website or social media platform.
  • Use, or allow others to use, registered trademarks “IFBB PRO”, “IFBB PRO LEAGUE”, “IFBB PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE”, or the IFBB Professional League logo in any publicity for a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event.

Part 3: Failure to Comply

If you fail to comply with the athlete-member section of this Code, you may be suspended and/or lose your IFBB PRO status, or be permanently expelled.

 

JUDGES

Part 4: Prohibited Activities

As an IFBB PRO judge-member, you must not:

  • Compete in, judge at, or promote or organize a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event.
  • Appear onstage at a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event.
  • Use, or allow others to use, your name or likeness to promote, advertise, or otherwise endorse a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event on a website or social media platform.
  • Use, or allow others to use, registered trademarks “IFBB PRO”, “IFBB PRO LEAGUE”, “IFBB PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE”, or the IFBB Professional League logo in any publicity for a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event.
  • Hold active membership in a same-sport organization that is not recognized by the IFBB Professional League.
  • Train, coach, or otherwise prepare athletes for competition to avoid conflict of interest.

Part 5: Permitted Activities

At a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event, you may:

  • Attend as a spectator

However, while engaged in this permitted activity, you must not:

  • Use, or allow others to use, your name or likeness to promote, advertise, or otherwise endorse a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event on a website or social media platform.
  • Use, or allow others to use, registered trademarks “IFBB PRO”, “IFBB PRO LEAGUE”, “IFBB PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE”, or the IFBB Professional League logo in any publicity for a non-IFBB Professional League contest or event.

Part 6: Failure to Comply

If you fail to comply with the judge-member section of this Code, you may be suspended and/or lose your IFBB PRO status, or be permanently expelled.
