I knew hank in the late seventies when he lived on the mississippi coast. He still was well built and placed in senior contest that he entered. I had a magazine with a article and pictures of him but I don't know if Hurricane Katrina got it. I just found out he died. I really liked Hank.

I believe it was/is the same Hank Zarko I knew when I worked in a factory in Aurora, IL. Any pictures? I know there was a shot in one of the magazines "way back then." Can anyone help me out? Ed Arle

The name of that Mr Universe is Lloyd Derryl. Lloyd Derryl migrated to the USA and died there. His photos may be found at his former home, where his foster mother Ms Borgeois lived... at Lloyd Street, off Sunshine Avenue, San Juan.

photos can never tell the whole story of a competition, just as I saw Harold Poole winning so long ago the pictures add credance to that . Larry Scott wa a great bodybuilder but Poole had more of every thing. Thanks for the great memories.

My Father Mr. Glen Wells competed in Mr. Universe 1965(third place), 1966(3rd Place) 1967(won. Do you have any pictures or information/articles that might be useful.
We are in the process of nominating him for the Bahamas National Hall of Fame.
