For the eighth consecutive year, Joe and Ben Weider and their partners at American Media Inc/Weider Publications, have authorized active-duty military personnel with a valid ID card to attend the Olympia Expo, and Mr/Ms/Fitness/Figure Olympia competitions free of charge.
The competitions will take place at the Orleans Arena & Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, September 25-28, 2008.
"To show our gratitude and acknowledge the tremendous sacrifice military personnel go through in service to their country, it is our honor to provide free tickets to members of the US Armed Forces. Since 2001, over 4,600 military personnel have attended the Olympia events as our special guests and we look forward to meeting and thanking service members for all they do this year," commented IFBB Founder & Honorary Life President Ben Weider.
Upon verification of their military ID, active duty personnel will be provided complimentary tickets for themselves and one guest. Signs indicating where to pick up the tickets will be located near the ticket center at the Orleans Hotel. There is a limit of 200 tickets for the following events:
1. Fitness Olympia & Figure Olympia
2. Mr. Olympia Prejudging
3. Mr. Olympia Finals
4. Olympia Expo

Thank you so much for this wonderful offer! Those of us in the military appreciate this support and look forward to it each year. I will be sure to spread the word to my comrades here at Fort Irwin. I can’t say enough what this means to your military bodybuilding fans. Again thank you and I look forward to the outstanding event that the Olympia always is. As a retired war veteran of Operation Desert Storm/Shield and Operation Restore Hope, I want to thank so very much for opportunity to see the Mr O every year. I look forward each year to see this amazing event, it keeps me motivated to keep going to the gym and also its been like a reunion of sort, because I get a chance to see fellow ship mates and war buddies. Once again thank you.
