One year ago, a very proud Najeeb Mohamed Al-Jawfi (second from the left front) took part in the official ribbon cutting ceremony to open
his brand new 12,000 sq.ft. gym in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a. Hundreds of dignitaries and guests attended the grand opening, including Malih Alaywan from Lebanon (to Al-Jawfi’s immediate left), IFBB Vice President for the Middle East. Inside the new gym, Najeeb Mohamed Al-Jawfi and Malih Alawyan can be see here taking part in the official cake-cutting ceremony, along
with other dignitaries and special guests. Al-Jawfi decided to name his gym "THE BEN WEIDER BODYBUILDING GYM" as a tribute to Ben Weider, IFBB Founder and Honorary Life President, for his lifetime of contributions to the worldwide bodybuilding movement and for providing the inspiration and motivation for millions of people to improve their physiques, fitness and health. |

Najeeb Mohamed Al-Jawfi, the gym’s proud owner, is a member of one of the most prestigious families in Yemen. For many years, Al-Jawfi has been a great supporter of the bodybuilding movement. Al-Jawfi studied in Beirut, Lebanon, and received a diploma as a Physical Education teacher. Al-Jawfi regularly attends IFBB Pro League events, such as the Olympia Weekend and the Arnold Classic. |
The WEIDER GYM AND FITNESS CENTER, covering 12,000 square feet, contains a state-of-the-art workout
facility with the latest training equipment, a cardio room, changing rooms, showers, and saunas and steam rooms. After a hardy workout, members can relax at the juice bar and take advantage of the fully stocked supplement store. Al-Jawfi is extremely proud of his relationship with Joe and Ben Weider and remains loyal to Weider products, as you can see in the above photo. |
In the above photo, you can see some of the equipment - exercise machines and free weights - in the WEIDER GYM AND FITNESS CENTER.
There are also (not shown) state-of-the-art cardio machines, such as exercise bikes, treadmills, stair climbers, and plenty of barbells and dumbbells.
