Although I have never had the pleasure of meeting him personally, Mr. Pearl has been kind enough to send me an autographed photo which I cherish along with those of Steve Reeves, Clarence Ross and Arnold Schwarzenegger Jay Cutlerand, Leo Robert, Joffre L'Heureux and Allan Paivio, the founders of modern bodybuilding Joe and Ben Weider. MY son met Mr. Pearl in Montreal many years ago and was so impressed by his kindness and gentle manner. Mr. Pearl is among the greats who should never be forgotten. Most sincerely. It's about health, strength, and challenging yourself to daily, weekly, and yearly improvement,..not winning trophies and adulation. That "adulation at all costs' is what has driven a once, well respected lifestyle into the 'steroids and freaks' we see today.These people find lives of personal tragity eventually. Keep it clean, and do it for the love of all the personal benefits, and you too, will be loving it at 70 and beyond!
