202 SHOWDOWN LOWDOWN

For a few hours, the 2008 Olympia Weekend won’t be all about the mass monsters.  This year, the 202 Showdown, a new IFBB Pro League contest, will make its debut on Olympia Weekend on Saturday, September 27, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This is a weight-limit contest with all competitors having to be 202 pounds or under, and gives guys sometimes lost in the shuffle among 250 pounders a chance to take center stage.

The 202 Showdown is an independent contest, separate from the Mr. Olympia.  The winner of the contest does not qualify to compete in the Mr. Olympia, just as Mr. Olympia competitors are not allowed to compete in the 202 Showdown.

Contest Rules:

To be eligible for the 202 Showdown, each contestant has to have finished in the top three at an IFBB Pro League 202-pound contest held earlier in the year. (Competitors who have also qualified for the Mr. Olympia would not be eligible.)

The field is limited to 12 competitors.

Special applications will be considered.

Total Cash Prize is $12,000.

2nd - $3,000
3rd - $1,500
